Stephen is a director, lighting designer and senior project manager.  He has been involved with lighting since his time as a student in Oxford. Upon completing his degree he returned to Manchester where he ended up as lighting designer and technical manager at the Hacienda, as well as fulfilling a similar role for Hard Times in Yorkshire – as such he was a customer of dbn for many years. When the Hacienda closed he worked for dbn on a freelance basis until he was involved in the takeover of the company in 1998.
